All those shorts are so cute - especially the ones with the delicate pocket ruffle! A matching set is on my to-make list, maybe for Me Made May. I’m thinking the Tamarama Set by Swim Style Patterns!
Oooo what’s Me Made May?? I’ve not heard of this. And thank you for sharing the Tamarama Set!! So freaking cute. This is going on my wishlist immediately
It’s a month long event on Insta (and probably blogs) started by @sozoblog that basically celebrates the clothes people make and the people who make them. You can search the hashtags (#memademay) by year. It’s nice because whether you have just one self sewn garment or a whole closet, or you want to pledge to sew something that month or just want to see all the inspo - it’s very chill.
Welcome to the world of garment sewing, where there is no such thing as "too much fabric"! I love your plan and agree completely with your reasoning. I work from home (bridal seamstress) and want to be comfortable but also want to meet my clients showing off my skills. My issue is finding the time to make stuff for myself, so that is MY goal for the spring!
I can only imagine how hard it is to balance sewing for your business and for yourself! I hope you find some time to make yourself beautiful things like you do for your clients 💖
I love all your inspo photos! I think the sydney grahams skyline dress is a super easy throw on option. Also if you have seen the honeygirl dress pattern my lyrical fabrics that is an awesome throw on dress. I have made this one and it was very easy to follow. If you have never sewn with knit fabrics before this is a good first attempt too!
Sewing dresses is my favorite and what i have been trying to do with making more dresses is copying ones i already own that i love. You could use your madewell dress you thrifted as a pattern to create another one in a different pattern, fabric or another color!
Ooooo the honey girl dress is so cute!! Thank you for the recommendation! I haven’t experimented with much knit but I’ll keep this pattern in mind next time I’m fabric shopping for sure. I also LOVE the skyline dress and definitely have it on my wishlist. Just want to try to find a way to add a built in bra I think.
Hey girl, that’s pretty cool and you are very talented and very creative! I am glad that I follow you and I look forward to seeing more!

Thank you so much!! I appreciate the follow ❤️ hope you have a wonderful day Dale!
Thanks 💕
